JSpaceCanada serves as a Canadian voice for progressive Jewish values. We advocate for social justice and peace — in Canada, the Middle East, and worldwide.

We are committed to a progressive vision of Israel — one where democracy is protected, human rights respected, and civil rights guaranteed for all citizens and residents. We consider Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and expansion of settlements to be anti-democratic and an affront to the Jewish values of justice and dignity.

We condemn violence in all its forms. Throughout the years, repeated escalations of violence have brought us no closer to a diplomatic solution for Israelis and Palestinians.

JSpaceCanada is committed to a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, guided by the principles of mutual recognition and respect for the national aspirations of both Jews and Palestinians. We believe that a lasting peace requires a negotiated resolution — one that safeguards Israel’s security needs and ensures autonomy and self-governance for Palestinians.

Through our events and commentary, we seek to amplify the voices of those working on the ground to build peace among Israelis and Palestinians.

OUR MISSION

• To provide a space to discuss progressive ideas on social justice and human rights in Canada, Israel, and the Palestinian Territories.
• To promote democratic and civil rights for all of Israel’s citizens, residents and neighbours in accord with Jewish values and Israel’s Declaration of Independence.
• To serve as an informed and balanced voice in favour of Israeli-Palestinian peace.
• To offer a perspective that supports self-determination and security for both Jews and Palestinians through the two-state Solution.
